Like most of you, we are closely monitoring the effects of the novel Coronavirus and its counterpart COVID- 19, as well as the health concerns facing our communities. In compliance with the Department of Homeland Security and the CDC guidelines, we have adjusted our operations to focus on your window and door replacement and repair needs.
Windows and doors are critical components of your home. Many of our jobs are related to security, safety, or potential damage. Examples include windows that won't open or close, lock, or leak, and doors that are difficult to open, are not secure, or are otherwise compromised. State and local regulations in your area define residential contractors that provide such services, essential to maintaining the safety and essential operation of your home.
We have taken numerous actions to do our part in helping limit the spread of the virus, while remaining open where possible to provide our homeowners with products and services that could be key to providing these essential services to our clients homes.
For homeowners like you, in areas where in-home consultations and installations are still permissible, and who would like to keep their scheduled estimates and window and door installation appointments, we are following Homeland Security's guidelines for businesses, as well as the CDC's revamped health precaution policies for one on one interactions including:
- Staying at home when sick,
- The use of masks and gloves during in-person estimates and sales by our sales personnel,
- Frequent hand washing/ sanitizing,
- The practice of social distancing and limiting of contact (ie. handshakes),
- The sanitation of interacted areas with gloves prior to leaving. (ie. windows and door knobs),
- When inside our installers have been instructed to wear masks and eye equipment for your safety as well as theirs.
We are also taking extra precautions in protecting our team and ask that if you, or someone in your household is showing signs of illness, including fever or flu-like symptoms, we ask that you reschedule any upcoming technician visits to your home. If you are unable to reschedule before the technician arrives, we ask that you notify him/her before they enter your home. We empower our technicians to make decisions regarding their personal health and safety, including ending appointments early if any of the household is showing flu-like or respiratory illness symptoms.
If you need to postpone your appointment until a later date because you or someone in your household is ill, or simply because you are not comfortable meeting with us at this time, we understand.
In addition, we are now offering to give you a free quote on your window or door project without any in person interaction. If you choose this option, we will schedule a time with you to take measurements from the outside of your house while discussing your project with you via phone call. Your free quote can then be emailed to you or sent by mail including brochures about the product. Additional arrangements can be made to show you samples of the products through video or other means.
When it comes down to it, it is you, our homeowners, who have the final say in how and when we work with you. Your comfort level inviting us into your homes is of utmost importance.
